The main purpose of MealPass is to help users easily find restaurants across Croatia offering discounts of up to 15%. Businesses can also simplify subscription management for their teams, enabling a single user to oversee hundreds of subscriptions effortlessly.
For employees, it’s as simple as downloading the app, signing in, and enjoying the benefits. The entire process is automated: just log in, visit a restaurant, open the app, and show it to the waiter. MealPass will instantly recognize your location and apply the discount seamlessly.

Goal
The goal of this project was to develop a unified platform accessible on web, iOS, and Android, allowing for seamless access across all devices.
The aim was to simplify subscription management by automating the handling of subscriptions, making it easier for businesses to manage hundreds of employee accounts effortlessly.
The app was designed to enhance the user experience, ensuring it was intuitive and user-friendly, with features such as automatic restaurant recognition and instant application of discounts.
Furthermore, the app needed to ensure complete automation of processes, including user registration, subscription validation, and discount application, to minimize manual intervention.
The design was tailored to meet specific client needs while ensuring scalability for future growth, maximizing the benefits for both employees and restaurants by enhancing accessibility and driving traffic.
Challenge
The key challenge in this project was balancing simplicity with the complexity of backend systems, ensuring a smooth user experience while handling intricate operations in the background.
Real-time restaurant recognition presented a challenge in implementing precise, location-based identification to validate discounts instantly.
The design had to be both visually simple and highly functional to meet the needs of individual users and businesses alike.
Additionally, the system had to accommodate multiple user types, with features supporting both individual users and businesses, including bulk subscription management.
Automating notifications and building robust analytics was necessary to track user activity and send timely updates without manual intervention.
Finally, preventing unauthorized subscription sharing required secure and real-time subscription validation to ensure legitimate use.
